Changes to levy assessment for major projects

On 13 September 2022, amendments to section 33 of the Construction Industry Long Service Leave and Benefits Act commenced.

These amendments increase the major project levy threshold from $1 billion to $5 billion, allowing the standard prescribed 0.1% levy rate to apply to the vast majority of Territory projects, reducing costs, administrative burden and uncertainty for major project developers.
